Owner William Johnson was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. Crabbing and fishing off the shores of the Atlantic Ocean was his childhood passion. Fishing has always been a very large part of his life and continues be avidly involved in fishing and water activities. Since then William has moved to Southern California, gotten married, had 2 wonderful boys and deepened his love for fishing.
The name "The Crappie King" was given to him by the locals at the Lake Elsinore Marina, where he is known for catching fish (Crappie) when no one else could! "My 15 years of experience, from fishing Lake Elsinore, has its benefits when it comes to catching fish" says William.
After being laid off from the Aero Space Industry, William opened his first tackle shop in February of 2010 and then this boat rental business in April 2010. Currently he has 5 fishing boats, 2 pontoons and a hand full of Paddle Boat at the Lake Elsinore West Marina, Lake Elsinore, California. His aspiration for starting the business was to bring awareness and availability to fishermen and families of the great fishing, and boating pleasure of our beautiful Lake Elsinore lake.
You don't have to look far to find Him if you are at the Marina. He is either talking with someone on the shore -line or with a fishing pole in hand.
